Man, 52, Charged with String of North Haven Home Burglaries
The man is accused of breaking into three homes during the day last summer. Police are expected to make another arrest in the case.

NORTH HAVEN, CT – North Haven Police have charged a 52-year-old man in connection to three home burglaries that occurred last summer.
North Haven Detectives investigated a string of residential burglaries over the summer and investigators determined three of the burglaries were similar, police said.
One break-in on Middletown Avenue and two incidents on Quinnipiac Avenue were reported after the homeowners found that someone had forced entry into the rear doors to their homes during the daytime and took items.

During two of the burglaries, video surveillance captured the vehicle used by the perpetrators, according to police.
Detectives identified the two suspects responsible for the burglaries and obtained arrest warrants for both.

Robert Picagli, 52, was arrested Wednesday (March 9) and charged with all three burglaries.
He was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, one count of sixth-degree larceny and one count of third-degree larceny.
Picagli was held on a court-set $30,000 bond and is awaiting arraignment, according to police.
