Man Accepts Plea Deal in Death of North Haven's John Liquori
Liquori died at the age of 20 after being hit by an alleged drunk driver while jogging last July.

The 73-year-old North Haven resident accused of driving drunk and striking jogger John Liquori with his pickup truck last summer, accepted a plea deal on Thursday, according to the New Haven Register.
Liquori, 20, died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the accident.
Randall Beach of the New Haven Register reports Theodore Spalding decided not to risk trial on second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle and other charges and accepted the plea offer that calls for him to spend four years in prison.

Last week, Spalding rejected an offer from the prosecution to plead guilty to second-degree manslaughter in exchange for serving no more than five years in jail, according to Beach.
However, on Thursday morning, Spalding listened to another plea offer. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 9.
