Man Arrested In Child Enticement Case: North Haven Police
The man was seeking to meet a juvenile, with the "intent of traveling to a separate location to engage in sexual activity," police said.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man was arrested Wednesday after police intercepted a planned meeting with a juvenile in North Haven in a child enticement case, according to officials.
Police said North Haven detectives identified 37-year-old Moussa Kouyate, who was seeking to meet a juvenile, with the “intent of traveling to a separate location to engage in sexual activity.”
When Kouyate arrived at a designated location, police said North Haven detectives, in coordination with FBI Task Force Officers, “intercepted him and took him into custody.”

Kouyate was arrested on charges of enticing a minor, risk of injury to a child, and criminal attempt to commit second-degree sexual assault.

“The North Haven Police Department urges parents and guardians to remain vigilant regarding their children’s online activity,” police wrote in a news release. “Parents are encouraged to maintain open and ongoing conversations with their children about internet safety, monitor online interactions and educate them about the dangers of communicating with unknown individuals.
