Man Assaults Best Buy Security, Apprehended Inside Target Following Foot Chase: North Haven Police
Police said the suspect attempted to steal electronic equipment from Best Buy, assaulted security when confronted and fled on foot.

North Haven, CT — North Haven Police apprehended a shoplifting suspect, who allegedly assaulted Best Buy security personnel, following a foot chase that ended inside Target on University Drive.
William Grullar, 39, of New York, was taken into custody following a brief foot chase after he fled Best Buy around 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, according to police.
Police said Grullar was spotted by Best Buy security attempting to take electronic equipment. When confronted, Grullar is accused of assaulting store security and fleeing on foot and was last seen by security entering Target.

North Haven Officers located Grullar inside the store and after a brief foot chase, he was taken into custody.
Grullar was charged with third-degree robbery, criminal attempt to commit fourth-degree larceny, interfering with police, and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police said Grullar is also wanted by The Middlesex County Sheriff Department in New Jersey for larceny-related charges.
Grullar was held on a $100,000 bond and arraigned in Meriden Superior Court.
