Man Charged With Burglarizing Restaurants In North Haven: Police
Police say physical evidence at the scene connected the man to three burglaries.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man has been charged with burglarizing multiple restaurants in North Haven earlier this year. Police responded to several commercial burglaries on the south side of town during the month of March, according to police.
Police said detectives assisted by processing the scene and conducting follow up investigation(s). Physical evidence at the scene was gathered and, with the assistance of the State of Connecticut Forensic Lab, detectives were able to connect Joaquim Silva to three burglaries, according to police.
Silva is accused of burglarizing Nick’s Char-Pit and Bonesse’s Pizza on March 9 and Nick’s Char-Pit again on March 20.

Silva was arrested Nov. 13 on three counts of third-degree burglary, three counts of second-degree criminal mischief and one count each of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny and fourth-degree larceny. He is being held on a $75,000 bond on unrelated charges from an outside agency, according to police.
