NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Hartford man has been arrested in connection with a check fraud case involving a North Haven business nearly three years ago, according to police.

The investigation began in May 2023 after North Haven patrol officers met with a complainant at police headquarters regarding a report of check fraud involving their business, according to police.

Police said the complainant reported a company-issued check, valued at more than $14,000, had been “fraudulently altered and deposited into an unknown bank account belonging to a company that neither the complainant nor their business recognized.”
