Man Charged In Home Burglary In North Haven: Police
Police said the suspect appeared to use a recycling bin to climb through a first-floor window.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Hamden man was arrested Monday in connection with a home burglary in North Haven in June, according to police.
Police responded to a home on Lynette Drive on June 18 on the report of a burglary. Police said it appeared that the suspect had used a recycling bin to climb through a first-floor window and then forced entry into several locked doors within the home.
Patrol officers interviewed witnesses and canvassed the surrounding area for evidence, according to police. North Haven detectives were assigned to follow up, and found similar characteristics to other burglaries in and around North Haven, police said.

Xuanting Yan, 38, of Hamden, was identified as a suspect after investigation with other area police departments that experienced similar burglaries, according to police.
Yan was arrested Jan. 23 on a warrant and charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny. He was held in lieu of a $75,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning.
