Man Charged In Theft Of $1.5K Worth Of Items From Store: North Haven Police
Two men stole $1,500 worth of items from a store in North Haven, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — An Ansonia man has been arrested in connection with the theft of $1,500 worth of items from a store in North Haven last November, according to police.
Police responded on Nov. 25 to the area of Universal Drive on the report of a shoplifting.
Officers met with Loss Prevention personnel, who reported that two men entered the store and stole $1,500 worth of merchandise, according to police.

After leaving the store, police said the suspects fled the area in a silver vehicle.
Police said a thorough investigation led to the identification of one of the suspects as 50-year-old Damon Roberts of Ansonia.

Roberts was arrested March 18 on a warrant and charged with fourth-degree larceny.
“Let this serve as a reminder: shoplifting is not a victimless crime, and our officers will continue to investigate and pursue those responsible—no matter how long it takes,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “If you choose to steal, expect to be held accountable.”
