Man Gets Trapped Under Vehicle, Two in Critical Condition Following North Haven Accident: Police
The driver was partially ejected and became trapped under the vehicle after pulling over for an engine problem, according to police.

North Haven, CT — Two people are in critical condition after an accident in which a vehicle rolled over and trapped a man underneath, according to North Haven Police.
North Haven police and fire personnel responded to a one-car accident on Hartford Turnpike around 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
The caller told police that a vehicle had rolled over and a man was trapped under the vehicle.

Investigators learned the operator of the vehicle pulled to the side of the road due to some type of engine problem. One of the three occupants exited the vehicle.
“For an unknown reason, the vehicle then sped in reverse, crossed the road striking a barrier, and rolled over,” police said in a press release. “The driver was partially ejected and trapped under the vehicle.”

The driver and one occupant were transported to an area hospital and are in critical condition, according to police.
Hartford Turnpike between Upper State Street and Leighton Court will be closed to facilitate the police investigation.
