Man On Parole Charged In 3 Burglaries In North Haven: Police
The man was caught burglarizing a business early Monday morning in North Haven, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Hartford man has been arrested in connection with three burglaries in North Haven, according to police.
Patrol officers responded around 6:30 a.m. on Monday to a burglary-in-progress at a commercial business in the 500 block of Washington Avenue, according to police.
Police said officers saw the suspect run out the back door of the business.

The suspect, 46-year-old Jose Vargas, was found on a neighboring street and taken into custody, according to police.
Police said Vargas was found in possession of stolen items from the burglary and also “instruments of the crime.”

Vargas, who is on parole, was remanded to custody by his parole officer, according to police.
Police said the investigation also linked Vargas to two other burglaries that were committed in the same area.
Vargas was charged with three counts each of third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, third-degree criminal mischief, and one count of sixth-degree larceny. He was held in lieu of a $30,000 bond, in addition to the remand to custody order, and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning, according to police.
