Man Robbed Of Vehicle By 2 Suspects In North Haven: Police

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a vehicle in which the victim believes a gun was pressed into his lower back from behind: PD

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man was robbed of his vehicle by two suspects Sunday in North Haven, according to police.

Police received a 911 call around 5 p.m. on Feb. 1 from a man reporting that his 2020 BMW M3 had been stolen from his possession, which he believed occurred at gunpoint, according to police.

The victim told police that he had parked his vehicle at an apartment complex on Hartford Turnpike, while trying to visit a friend.

As he walked toward the building, the man was approached from behind by two male suspects, who pressed a hard object into his lower back and ordered him to empty his pockets, according to police.

“The victim complied, and the suspects then fled the area in the victim’s vehicle,” police wrote in a news release. “A second vehicle, believed to have transported the suspects to the scene, also left the area. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

“The North Haven Police Department continues to investigate and asks anyone with information, surveillance footage, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact police.”
