Man Stole Corvette From Locked Garage In North Haven: Police
The suspect was identified with assistance from the state's Forensic Laboratory, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Bristol man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle in North Haven in 2020, according to police.
The victim reported to police at the time that his vehicle was stolen from a locked garage on Great Meadow Drive. The investigation found that a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle in the driveway and used a garage door opener, according to police.
Once inside the garage, police said the suspect found keys and stole a 2012 Chevy Corvette from the garage. The vehicle was later found in West Hartford, according to police.

Police said detectives worked with the state’s Forensic Laboratory and identified Isaias Mendez as the suspect.
Mendez, 20, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant and charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree larceny. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
