Man Used Fake Bills At Best Buy: North Haven Police
The man, who was extradited back to Connecticut, is accused of using counterfeit money at Best Buy.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New York man was arrested after police say he used counterfeit money to buy electronics at Best Buy in North Haven earlier this year.
Police said numerous fake bills were used at Best Buy, 398 Universal Drive, on May 2 and 24-year-old Alston Philips, of Brooklyn, New York, was identified as a suspect during the course of the investigation.
Police secured a warrant for Philips’ arrest and detectives went to Elizabeth, New Jersey on Tuesday (Nov. 26) to extradite him back to Connecticut.

Philips was charged with two counts of first-degree forgery and one count of fifth-degree larceny. He is being held on a $10,000 court-set bond.
