UPDATE: Police Release Video of Armed Robbery in North Haven

North Haven Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the armed robbery of a gas station on Wednesday night.

NORTH HAVEN, CT – North Haven Police are investigating the armed robbery of the Valero Gas Station at 414 State Street on Wednesday night.

Police received a 911 call at about 9 p.m. with the attendant stating that he had just been robbed at gunpoint.

He told police that while he was mopping the floor inside the business, a thin white male approximately 5-foot-3-inches to 5-4 tall, approximately 20-25-years-old entered the business.

The man was wearing a two-piece white jumpsuit with a black ski mask over his face, according to police.

Police released the following surveillance video on Thursday to help them identify the suspect:

Police said the suspect pointed a black gun at the attendant and forced him around the cashier’s desk. The man told the attendant to open the safe and then when he found it empty, he told him to open the cash register.

The suspect held the gun in his left hand at all times and removed approximately $500 to $600 in unspecified bills from the register with his right hand, according to police.

The man then left the business out the front door and ran southbound on State Street toward Hamden.

North Haven’s K-9 unit was utilized in a search of the area.
