From North Haven Memorial Library: TUTU TUESDAY MORNING - Tuesday, May 1 @ 10:30 a.m.

Ages 6 mos-3½ yrs - Time for too-too much fun on Tuesday at the library. If you and your child have a tutu or bow tie, wear it while enjoying music, dancing, story and playtime. Registration is required.

FULL OF JOY YOGA (6 week series)
Wednesdays, March 21, 28, April 4, 11, 25 & May 2 (No class April 18) @ 10:30 a.m.
Ages 3-5 - Classes with Lani Rosen of Full of Joy Yoga, combine music, games, and stories to give all the benefits of yoga. Join your child as you both stretch and relax. Registration is required.

FAIRY GARDENS - Thursday, May 3 @ 3:30 p.m.
Ages 6-10 - Learn how to make your very own fairy garden and some basic decorations. You will need to bring a shallow container (the thick plastic tray that comes under most plant pots works; should be at least 8" in diameter or larger) and any extra materials you would like to decorate your garden with. Think small! Acorns, feathers, marbles, pebbles, silk flowers, sticks, tree bark... use your imagination! Registration is required.

I <3 PENGUINS – Friday, May 4 @ 2:30 p.m.
Ages 6-10 - Did you know that all 17 penguin species are found in Earth’s southern hemisphere? How about that their coloring is for camouflage? Find out more fascinating facts about penguins, then make a “cool” craft. Registration is required.

SENSE-SATIONAL STORYTIME - Saturday, May 5 @ 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-6 - Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes and simple craft with your little one. Sense-sational Storytime is a program geared specifically for children with special needs or who are on the Autism spectrum. Registration is required.

LEGO™ CLUB - Saturday, May 5 @ 2:30 p.m.
Ages 4-12 - Drop by the library and create with LEGO™! We provide the LEGOs™ and you provide the imagination! No registration required.

POKÉMON CLUB - Monday, May 7 @ 3:30 p.m.
Ages 6-12 - Do you have what it takes to be a Pokémon Master? Play Pokémon with your peers and make new friends! Be sure to bring your own cards. No registration required.

YARN FAIRIES- Tuesday, May 8 @ 3:30 p.m.
Ages 6-10 – Add a little magic and creativity to your life with your own braided yarn fairy.
Registration is required.

TODDLER TIME WITH MOTHER GOOSE (3 week series)
Wednesdays, May 9, 16 & 23 @ 10:30 a.m.
Ages 18-30 mos - Join us for a new Toddler Time featuring our own Mother Goose! Stories, songs, rhymes and some surprises await! Registration is required.

FAIRY STRESS BALLS - Wednesday, May 9 @ 6:30 p.m.
Ages 6-10 - Relax and unwind with this homemade magical fairy stress ball! Registration is required.

PRESCHOOL FAIRY STORYTIME - Thursday, May 10 @ 10:30 a.m.
Ages 3-6 - Join us for some fun fairy stories, rhymes, songs and even a craft! Registration is required.

CHALK THE WALK - Thursday, May 10 @ 3:30 p.m.
All Ages - Want to show off your creativity and add your art to downtown North Haven? Here’s your chance! Help us turn our walkways into a fantasy themed canvas of color. Registration is required.

MOTHER’S DAY CRAFT - Friday, May 11 @ 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-6 – Join us to hear some stories and make a mother’s day craft for a special someone in your life. Registration is required.

FAIRY DOOR DAY - Saturday, May 12 @ 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
All Ages – Join us at the library for our Fairy Door Day events! We will have hidden fairy doors for you to find, fantastic fairy crafts, our own library fairy for you to meet and take photos with and a face painter (11am – 1pm). No registration required.

BOUNCING BABIES STORYTIME - Tuesday, May 15 @ 10:30 a.m.
Ages 0-18 mos - In this monthly program, infants and their caregivers will share nursery rhymes, songs, fingerplays and books. This interactive playtime puts a special emphasis on language enrichment and pre-literacy skills. No registration is required.

PAJAMA STORYTIME - Wednesday, May 16 @ 6:30 p.m.
Ages 3-6 with adult - Wear your favorite pajamas along with Miss Evelyn for a fun-filled pre-bedtime story hour including books, rhymes and a simple craft. No registration is required.

PARACHUTE PLAYTIME - Friday, May 18 @ 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-6 with adult - Get some energy out by shakin’ our parachute. Enjoy classic songs like Wheels on the Bus and Old MacDonald and dance to new favorites! This loosely structured, gross-motor activity class is for children ages 2-6 with an adult. Registration is required.

MAGICAL GRANDPARENTS - Saturday, May 19 @ 10:30 a.m.
Grandparents and caregivers of all ages - Learn some simple sleight of hand magic tricks to shock and amaze all the little ones in your life. Registration is required.

HOMESCHOOLERS’ BOOK CLUB - Monday, May 21 @ 2:30 p.m.
Ages 7-12 - Are you a homeschooling parent? Take your kids on a field trip for fun to the North Haven Library. We will discuss a book (read in advance), play games and make a related craft. This activity is a great way to broaden your children’s learning experience. May’s book choice is Digging Up Dinosaurs by Aliki.

BOOK IT TO THE MOVIES - Tuesday, May 22 @ 6:30 p.m.
Ages 8-14 - Has your favorite book ever been made into a movie? Join us for a compare and contrast conversation. Then we will watch a clip from the movie and learn a filmmaking fact followed by a craft. This month’s book to movie title is A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.
