Men Charged In Connection To Wood Crime Spree: North Haven Police

Police say more than $100K worth of wood has been stolen from a company over the past several months. Two men were arrested Saturday.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two men were arrested Saturday morning after police say they were attempting to drive off with $13,000 worth of product from a North Haven wood working company.

A surveillance operation had been set up as part of an investigation into the theft of more than $100,000 worth of wood that has been stolen from the business over the past several months, according to police.

Jairo Solorzano-Guerra, 38, of New Haven, and Luis Chacon, 40, of West Haven, were charged with second-degree larceny and criminal trespass.

Both were held on a $5,000 bond and are scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on March 3.
