Missing North Haven Brothers, Ages 1 & 2, Found In Florida

Silver Alerts had been issued for the boys, who were found with their mother in Florida, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two brothers missing from North Haven were found safe with their mother Wednesday in Florida, according to police.

Silver Alerts were issued Monday for Lucifer and Thor Guy, who were believed to be with their mother, Brittany Young. Thor is 12 months and Lucifer is 2.

North Haven police responded to the 100 block of Montowese Avenue on Dec. 26 to assist the Connecticut Department of Children and Families with a welfare check, according to officials.

Police found that Young may have left with the children to avoid DCF involvement, officials said. They weren’t found at the home or the homes of other relatives or friends, according to police.

With the assistance of the Hillsborough County Sherriff’s Office, Thor and Lucifer were found with Young on Wednesday in Tampa, Florida, according to police.

“We are happy to report that both mother and children are safe,” police said in a news release. “We would like to thank the agencies who assisted in our investigation, as well as members of the media who circulated photos, and concerned citizens who provided tips. Lastly, we would like to thank Det. Sgt. Clifford Hill and Det. Michael DiCocco, who worked tirelessly since assigned to this case. The safety and health of Brittany and her children were our top priority, and we are thankful she was found quickly and safely.”
