Narcan Session Being Held In North Haven
The town will hold a community session on Narcan – the opioid overdose reversal drug.

NORTH HAVEN, CT – The town will be holding a community session on Narcan – the opioid overdose reversal drug.
The North Haven session will be held at the public library from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 24. The town of Hamden held a similar session on Aug. 15.

The sessions are being advertised as being open to those who want to come and learn about how Narcan or Naloxone works.
Pharmacists will be on site and the program is being presented by the Quinnipiac Valley Health District.

Last year more than 900 people, or nearly 3 a day, died from drug overdoses in the state of Connecticut.
Many more deaths were prevented by first responders using Narcan to those who took drugs.
