North Haven Camera Club Upcoming Events

North Haven Camera Club will have two major events in June that are open to the public. Club members are displaying their photos at an exhibit called Land and Sea, at Branford Art Center until June 30. A public reception for this exhibit will take place at the center on Saturday, June 16 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Branford Art Center is located at 1229 Main St., Branford, with gallery hours Wednesdays through Saturdays 12 noon to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays until 4:00. For more information about Branford Art Center, visit BranfordArtCenterCT.com.

Also, limited seats are still available for a full-day nature photography seminar called Roamin' with Roman, with professional nature photographer and author Roman Kurywczak, on Saturday June 9 at Whitney Center, 200 Leeder Hill Dr., Hamden. Mr. Kurywczak, whose website is roaminwithroman.com, has given countless lectures and workshops about landscape, macro, bird, and wildlife photography.

Morning sessions cover "Photographing the Nighttime Landscape", and "Taking Your Macro Photography to the Next Level". Afternoon topics include "Photographing Wildlife: From Portraits to Flight", and "For the Love of Landscapes".

Cost for the full day seminar is $30 for North Haven Camera Club members, and $40 for non-members.
