Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office:

Fire Commission

The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

As a fire commissioner, I intend to continue solicit donations for medical and life saving equipment which benefits our citizens and firefighters without raising taxes.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The critical difference is the length of experience - 24 years. I have been endorsed by all the firefighters and volunteer firefighters on the local and state level. I have had the experience of live burn and fire-ops training. I am currently the longest sitting fire commissioner in the state and longest sitting president of the New Haven County fire commissioners.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

Knowing from experience, what the firefighters need to keep residents, fire department staff and the people who pass through our town safe. This knowledge comes from a quarter of century working with four administrations and chiefs.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

24 years of experience of working with career firefighters, administrative staff and volunteer firefighters. I have trained with staff to understand their needs and the apparatus required to do their jobs with the best possible results.

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

Through the years of working with all the firefighters, the chiefs and fire commissioners, the consistent message of the importance of always working as a team.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I have lived in North Haven and have enjoyed working collaboratively with all residents, regardless of political affiliation, for the safety of the North Haven residents and for the firefighters who continually put their lives on the line.
