North Haven Coronavirus Update: 9 Confirmed Cases In Town
First Selectman Michael Freda also asks residents to properly dispose of gloves, masks and loose trash.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Seven more North Haven residents have tested positive for the new coronavirus, bringing the town’s confirmed cases to nine, according to First Selectman Michael Freda.
“We will continue to monitor the situation and share information with our residents as it becomes available,” Freda said in a message to residents. “Please continue to practice physical distancing, stay home if you do not need to go out, wash your hands, and follow additional safety precautions as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.
“Additionally, I must ask the fine residents of North Haven for your help. It has come to our attention that many residents are disposing of gloves, masks and loose trash with their items left at the curb for pick up. Please, for the safety of our sanitation crew members I ask that you take the time to bag all of your trash before putting out for collection. Please DO NOT put loose or un-bagged items into your trash cans. Also, please follow the recycling guidelines for items placed in your green recycling bins. Gloves and masks do not belong in recycling.
