North Haven Daytime Gardeners Mason Bee Workshop

Learn how to boost your gardens productivity with non-aggressive native Mason Bees.

The Daytime Gardeners of North Haven will meet on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the North Haven Recreation Center. Following a short presentation by Sally Brockett about the Marvelous Mason Bee, Walt Brockett will lead a workshop on making mason bee houses.

Kits will be assembled by attendees to take home and use to encourage mason bee pollination in their gardens.

The little known mason bee, a non-aggressive, native bee, is a super-pollinator for gardens and orchards, far surpassing the effectiveness of the honey bee for early crops.
