North Haven Driver Accused of Shooting Stun Gun at Pedestrian Walking His Dog

The pedestrian yelled for the driver to slow down before an argument ensued.

A North Haven man is accused of shooting a stun gun in a “threatening manner” at a pedestrian who was walking his dog and yelled at him to slow down, according to a police press release.

Police said that on Monday morning (Nov. 10), a Millbrook Road resident was walking his dog when a speeding vehicle drove by.

The pedestrian yelled for the driver, later identified as Anthony Buemi, to slow down and Buemi allegedly turned around and the two engaged in an argument.

Police said Buemi, 30, retrieved an electronic defense weapon and pointed it at the man who was walking his dog and “sparked” the weapon in a threatening manner before driving away.

Police responded and identified Buemi as the driver of the vehicle. He was arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, criminal use of an electronic defense weapon and possessing a weapon in a motor vehicle. Buemi was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
