North Haven Eighth-Grade Football Team Beats East Haven to Continue Strong Start

The team won the Shoreline Youth Football championship as seventh graders last year.

The defending North Haven seventh-grade Shoreline Youth Football championship opened their eighth-grade season with a 3-1 record.

North Haven won its first three games against North Branford, Branford and Newtown before being stopped by Shelton 33-19.

North Haven has been led on offense by Noah Pastore, Jamorea Hooks, Alex Ciaburro, Devon Stephens and Shamus Meehan.

The defense has been led by strong play and leadership from Nick Dodge, John Crispi Kevin Anasoulis, Aaron Bell, Eli Doheny, Mike Collins and Ashkin Bradaran. Anthony Bello, Louis Mineri, Kevin Spencer, Steven McKinney and Nick Carras have also made significant contributions to the team on both offense and defense.

North Haven bounced back from its first loss with a 30-10 victory over East Haven.

North Haven was led on offense with touchdowns from Jamorea Hooks (3), and Alex Ciaburro as well as 3 out of 4 extra points by Aiden Lillis.

North Haven controlled the game from start to finish opening up a 16-0 lead after one quarter of play. On offense the line of Nick Carras, Anthony Bello, Joe Personeni, Lou Mineri, Eli Doheny and Steven McKinney were outstanding in their play.

On defense Noah Pastore and Nick Dodge led the charge with solid play from safeties Davon Stevens and Gianni Snipes. Aaron Bell, John Crispi, Askin Bradaran, and Vinny DePalma played well on the defensive line.
