North Haven Election 2021: Michael Hallahan For Board Of Finance

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The 2021 municipal election is heating up in North Haven with plenty of races on the ballot.

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 2 and cast their ballots for the Board of Selectmen, Board of Education, Town Clerk/Tax Collector and more.

North Haven Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

Democrat Michael Hallahan, 63, is running for re-election to the North Haven Board of Finance.

Occupation: Real Estate Appraiser

Experience: Board of Finance (16 years)

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

With healthy skepticism, it is important to question all Town officials to reconfirm assumptions, uncover inefficiencies, and promote productive discussion to enable better financial performance.

Accomplishments:

Throughout my 16 years of respectful discourse on the BOF, I have worked "across the aisle" to resolve and improve the financial issues which might affect the citizens of North Haven.

Other issues:

A constant expectation of transparency and accountability within the process of developing fair and reasonable municipal budgets.

I am happy to continue to serve the fine people of the Town of North Haven and to support the multitude of services that our town has to offer.
