North Haven Election: Grant Running For Town Clerk/Tax Collector

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The 2021 municipal election is heating up in North Haven with plenty of races on the ballot.

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 2 and cast their ballots for the Board of Selectmen, Board of Education, Town Clerk/Tax Collector and more.

North Haven Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

Democrat Kathy Grant, 55, is running for Town Clerk/Tax Collector in North Haven.

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Investing in North Haven. As Town Clerk/Tax Collector I will work to modernize the computer systems and create and update improvement standards and promote best practices for a high level of customer service experience including a customer satisfaction survey to collect data about the services our residents and visitors receive at each visit. I would also work closely with the tax assessor to promote similar standards of practice as well as customer satisfaction survey to improve the overall experience of residents and visitors.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

Working towards customer satisfaction in a meaningful way and creating a friendly environment for employees.

Accomplishments:

-Employed as a data technician at major non profit health care organization which continuously reviews best practices based on customer experience.
-2021 Office of Legislative Management and Senate Clerk’s office assistant bill clerk.
-Continuing education
-Local political party chair and organizer.
-10 years public service for the State of Connecticut Judicial branch.

I am a highly motivated and dedicated person with a passion for public service.
