North Haven Elementary Schools Ranked Among the County's Best

While none of North Haven’s elementary schools ranked among the top 100 public elementary schools in Connecticut, based on Niche.com’s rankings, the district did fare well in the separate rankings for New Haven County.

New Haven County had eight schools ranked in the Top 100 — three each from Madison and Cheshire and two from Guilford. The full Connecticut list can be found here: “Best Public Elementary Schools in Connecticut.”

Three of North Haven’s elementary schools were ranked in Niche.com’s Top 88 for New Haven County.

Here’s how they placed:

• Green Acres Elementary School — No. 12
• Ridge Road Elementary School — No. 17
• Montowese Elementary School — No. 24

According to Niche, a high ranking indicates that “students are happy with their experiences in all aspects, especially academics, teachers, and diversity,” “the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes,” and “the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.”
