North Haven Expects to Finish with Budget Surplus

The town is projecting a surplus for the 2014-15 fiscal year.

North Haven is expected to finish the 2014-15 fiscal year with an estimated $200,000 surplus, according to the New Haven Register.

First Selectman Michael Freda told Kate Ramunni of the Register that the town is currently reviewing revenue collections and is anticipating the surplus.

Freda said the town will maintain its AAA status, which will result in the saving of millions of dollars in interest when it bonds for the $69 million North Haven Middle School project, according to the Register.
