All schools and town buildings will be closed Thursday in honor of the holiday. On Saturday, the town will host a Veterans Day ceremony on North Haven Green starting at 11 a.m. that will feature speeches by elected officials, a bagpipe performance led by North Haven High School music director Ken Tedeschi, and the ringing of the bells in honor of veterans who have passed. More than 550 veterans have been invited to the event. Before the event, volunteers will gather on the Green to participate in a fall cleanup event.
