North Haven May Have Been Hit By a Tornado: Police
Police say several homes were damaged, and residents are urged to stay inside.

The North Haven Police Department says it believes the town may have seen a tornado Tuesday evening.
“Earlier this evening it is believed a microburst or small tornado struck the west side of North Haven near the Hartford Turnpike corridor,” police said on Facebook. “There are trees and power lines down, and several homes have been severely damaged due to the weather. We anticipate extended power outages as the United Illuminating Co. Is working to safely restore service.
“The North Haven Police Department will continue with high visibility patrols in the effected area. Although it is temping to explore the effected neighborhoods, we ask that residents remain home for their safety, and the safety of emergency crews,” police said.
