North Haven Memorial Day Parade 2026: Here’s What To Know
Officials have announced details for the North Haven Memorial Day Parade, including the parade route and more.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — American Legion Post 76 in North Haven is sponsoring the 80th annual Memorial Day Parade, which will be held on Saturday, May 23 at 10:30 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to find seating along the route, which starts at North Haven High School, goes east on Bailey Road, then north on Maple Avenue, continues on Church Street, and ends at the corner of Church and St. John, according to officials.
Officials said the grandstand will be located at the Green, across from the Town Hall. The parade will be broadcast live on NHTV: Comcast channel 18 or 1070, Frontier channel 6051, and on Facebook at NHTV.

In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be held on Saturday, May 30.
American Legion Post 76 will conduct a Memorial Day service on the Green at 9 a.m. on May 23.

“They will be honoring all veterans who have passed since last year,” officials wrote in a post on the town’s Facebook page. “All are welcome to attend.”
This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Anthony “Sparky” Mastriano.
Mastriano, a member of Murray-Reynolds Post 76 American Legion, was born in New Haven in August 1930 and attended New Haven schools graduated from Hillhouse High School.
“Originally drafted into the U.S. Army, he volunteered to enlist in the Marine Corp due to a shortage of inductees,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “He trained at Paris Island S.C. and received advanced training at Camp LeJeune, N.C. becoming a tank mechanic with the Second Marine Division and attained the rank of Private First Class. Serving from 1952-1954.
“After leaving the Marine Corp. Sparky settled in North Haven and went to work for the New Haven Gas Company. He helped to construct I-95.
“Sparky raised two wonderful girls completing his family.”
