Kayla Lancor, who helped move Carbone and Pittman out to North Dakota, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist the family with the costs of memorial services for Carbone and Layla.
“April was robbed of being a mom for the first time, she will never be able to hold her baby girl for the first time, or experience all the firsts that come along with having her first child,” Lancor wrote on the GoFundMe page. “April ultimately was robbed of the life she deserved, and so desperately fought for, a life she was just beginning to experience.
“April and Richie moved to North Dakota in 2019 from Connecticut. Nobody plans for a tragedy such as this, financially it is not feasible for April's family to afford the costs to transport her back to Connecticut from North Dakota, along with funeral/memorial costs. Their family could use all the help they can get to ensure proper services.”
