North Haven Nursing Home Fined After Injury
A DPH investigation found a resident was injured during an incident.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Montowese Health and Rehab Center in North Haven was fined $1,740 after a resident's calf was injured while being moved from a wheelchair to a bed, according to the Department of Public Health.
One nurse aide tried to move the resident even though the care plan called for two people to lift, according to the Connecticut Health Investigation Team.
The aide then lied about what happened, according to a DPH investigation. The center didn't respond to a request for comment from C-HIT.
