North Haven Resident Reaches Milestone In Albertus Magnus Victory

The resident joined the 1,000-point club in the Falcons' latest win.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven’s Jill Johnson, a senior on the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team, joined the 1,000 career points club in the Falcons' 80-50 win over Anna Maria College Tuesday night at "The Nest" in New Haven in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference game. Johnson finished with a game-high 22 points in the victory. She recorded her 1,000th career point at the 5 minute, 50-second mark of the first quarter after a three-point play.

Albertus (13-1, 1-0) jumped out to a 26-10 lead, took a 50-26 lead into halftime and cruised to the victory. Johnson also recorded two rebounds and three assists.

Rah Rah Thompson scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Andreah Orr added 13 points and nine rebounds and Shyla Osmond had 10 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists to help lead the Falcons to the victory.
