North Haven Residents Receive COVID-19 Vaccine: Here's How Many

State health officials released data for the first time that shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A total of 3,315 North Haven residents received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine as of Feb. 1, according to the state Department of Public Health.

There are 23,683 North Haven residents and 14 percent of them have received their first dose of the vaccine. North Haven has 2,476 residents over the age of 75 and 1,193 of them have received their first dose, or 48.18 percent, according to state health officials.

In nearby towns, Hamden has disseminated the vaccine to 11.35 percent of its population, while New Haven is at 7.27 percent, East Haven is at 9.5 percent, North Branford is at 12.64 percent and Wallingford is at 13.82 percent.

Since the pandemic began in March, North Haven has reported 1,638 cases and 38 deaths.
