North Haven Residents Vote on Town Budget for Second Time
The proposed $91.7 million budget failed in a referendum in May.

North Haven residents approved the proposed $91.7 million budget for fiscal year 2015-16 on its second try.
Kate Ramunni of the New Haven Register reports that Tuesday’s referendum had a better turnout than the first time when the budget failed in May. Only 1,395 people voted in that referendum, while 2,424 residents cast their vote on Tuesday, which is still only about 16 percent of the town’s 15,187 registered voters.
