North Haven’s Run Ends In CIAC Division III Boys Basketball Semifinals
The North Haven boys basketball team's season game to an end with a hard-fought loss to SMSA in the CIAC Division III semifinals.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — The North Haven boys basketball team’s season came to an end with a 51-48 loss to third-seeded SMSA in the CIAC Division III semifinals Tuesday at Plainville High School.
The second-seeded Nighthawks had advanced to the semifinals with a 72-69 win over No. 10 Bethel in the quarterfinals, and a 79-71 victory over No. 18 Torrington in the second round.
After trailing SMSA 41-30 through three quarters, North Haven rallied in the fourth quarter and pulled within 49-48 with 22 seconds to go, according to GameTimeCT.

JaShaun Jernigan, who scored a game-high 22 points, hit two clutch free throws with less than 15 seconds left to lift SMSA to the victory, according to GameTimeCT.
Luke Bosticco led North Haven with 14 points.
