North Haven will Honor John Liquori in Memorial Football Game Friday Night

The game will benefit the John Liquori Memorial Foundation; Liquori died at the age of 20 after being hit by a drunk driver while jogging.

The John Liquori Memorial Football Game will take place Friday night, Oct. 17, when North Haven takes on Branford at Vanacore Field (55 Bailey Road).

The game will benefit the John Liquori Memorial Foundation, which was established to honor the life of Liquori who died at the age of 20 in July after being struck by a drunk driver while jogging in his neighborhood.

Liquori was a former standout for the North Haven football team.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night.

There will be raffles, prizes, baked goods and commemorative shirts sold. All proceeds will go to the foundation.
