Obituary: Angelo J. Verdini, 96, Of North Haven

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Angelo and his late wife were the owners and operators of Cir-Tek Inc for many years.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Angelo J. Verdini, 96, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to the late Antoinette Capparelli Verdini.

Angelo was born in Plains, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1926 and was the son of the late Raffaele and Leonora “Nora” Fillipini Verdini.

He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force. Angelo and his late wife were the owners and operators of Cir-Tek Inc for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree, proud member of North Haven Rotary and was a past recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award.

Angelo enjoyed golfing, dancing, trips to his house in Florida, gardening, and most of all spending time with friends and family. He was a fun-loving guy, always enjoying a good party or any good time, he will be missed and never forgotten.

Beloved father of Norine Verdini and Patricia Dobroth. Loving grandfather of Lia (Michael) DiGioia, Margaret (Griffin Cummings) and Killian Doborth. Great-grandfather of Ariana and Marco DiGioia. Brother of the late Yolanda Westfield, Elizabeth Bempkins and Ralph Verdini.

The visiting hours will be on Monday morning, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12 noon. Entombment with full military honors will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.
