Obituary: Anna Petek Ward, 107, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Anna Petek Ward, 107, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Ward.

Anna was born in Austria on July 28th, 1914 and was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Johanna Petek. She was the supervisor/manager of the former A&P Candy Division.

Mother of Francis (Inge) Davis Jr., and Geraldine Corso. Grandmother of Michelle (Terry)Moore, Denise (Judi) Corso-Greene, Danelle (Greg) Hill, Gabi (Susan Provost) Davis and Christopher Davis. Great-Grandmother of Sara and Alyssa Moore, Leah and Jesse Corso-Greene, Jerry and Allison Hill, Aaron Rubins, Francis Matthew and Joshua Davis and Kristin Lopez. Great-Great Grandmother of Kirstin and Logan Rubins and Reagan Lopez. Predeceased by her first husband Frank Davis, a brother, and a sister.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Haven, Inc., 89 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473.
