Obituary: Anthony V. Acanfora, 58, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Anthony V. Acanfora, 58, of North Haven, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at his home. He was born in New Haven on June 6, 1963 and was the son of the late Vincent and Ersie Lowe Acanfora.

Both parents were proud U.S. Marines, and his mother was North Haven Police Officer for many years.

Anthony’s greatest passion was working on his many cars. Known to help anyone at any time, Anthony will be greatly missed by his friends, Jim Owler, Angelo Appi Jr., and many others.

Anthony is survived by his brother, John Acanfora, a nephew John Michael (Samantha) Acanfora, and sister-in-law, Elise Esposito.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 260 Conchituate Road #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
