Obituary: Catherine ‘Cathy’ Scollan, 65, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Catherine “Cathy” Scollan, 65, of North Haven, left us after a long battle with pulmonary disease on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

Born in New Haven on April 23rd, 1958, Cathy was the daughter of the late Alphonse C. Carlis, Sr. and Patricia Hardy Carlis.

A day care worker for many years at ACES in North Haven, Cathy dedicated her life to her family and kids. She was the Loving mother of Jennifer Sage, Kate Scollan and her husband William Foley. “GrammiE” to her grandchildren who she loved unconditionally, Lexy Bowers and her husband Tyler, Maddie Sage, Dylan Foley, Jake Sage, Layla Foley, and Austin Foley. Beloved sister of Patricia Hadlock and her husband Daniel, Joseph Carlis, John Carlis and his girlfriend Annette Bombaci, and the late Mary Carlis and Alphonse C. Carlis Jr.

The visiting hours will be Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A parlor service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
