Obituary: David Sundwall, 80, Of North Haven
David coached youth hockey and baseball in North Haven and had served as a member of the North Haven Volunteer Fire Department.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): David Sundwall, 80, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Sandra Tosetti Sundwall.
David was born in New Haven on February, 6 1942 and was the son of the late James Sundwall and Lois Wrightington Hillinski, stepson of Jane Sundwall and Adam Hillinski.
He had served his country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis. David had worked as a truck driver for Keegan Construction of North Haven for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Shaw- Sinon Post 73, Wallingford and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Wallingford Aerie 1820.
David had coached youth hockey and baseball in North Haven and had served as a member of the North Haven Volunteer Fire Department.
Father of David M. (Robert Pragano) Sundwall, Michael (Nancy) Sundwall, Holly (Christopher DeMartin) Sundwall, Eric (Bridget) Sundwall. Grandfather of Troy Sundwall, Tyler, Kameron and Christopher DeMartin, Hailey, Hunter, Annabell Sundwall and Robert (Tory) Stevens. Great-grandfather of Carter Marie. Brother of James (Marilyn) Sundwall, Faith Connor, and the late Frances Green, Cynthia White and Irene Devoss.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
