Obituary: Donald F. Hayden, 83, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Donald F. Hayden, 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 18, 1940, he was the son of the late Albert P. and Mary Brown Hayden.

Donald earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy. Donald worked as an accountant for Branson Sonic Power of Danbury for over ten years and later was the owner and operator of Don Hayden Painting for many years. He enjoyed his frequent trips to the casino and loved fishing.

Father of Steven Hayden (Tricia), Daniel Hayden (Amanda) and Jennifer Garnett (Kevin). Grandfather of Tyler, Thomas, Daniel, Christopher, Brianna, Joshua, Alivia, Jesse and Abigail. Great-Grandfather of Audrina. Brother of Robert Hayden (Lucy) and the late Virginia Mack, Albert and Charles Hayden.

Funeral services were held Feb. at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
