Obituary: Erik Hayes Gustafson, 54, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Erik Hayes Gustafson, 54, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Kristin Coyle Gustafson.

Loving father of Shaun Pitts. Beloved brother of Kristin Andrea Gustafson (MaryKay Tuohy). Loving uncle of Andrei and Aleksei Gustafson, Ryan Nuzzo, Kaitlynn and Brieanna Rios.

Erik was born in Houston, Texas on May 31, 1969, and was the son of Virginia Hayes and the late Kenneth Gustafson. He had worked as a vice president of finance at SilverSky for many years.

Erik enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking with his dog, Thor and family. He had a love for mountain biking. Erik was a big history buff, he enjoyed reading about and visiting historical places. Above all, his favorite place to be was together with family and friends.

The visiting hours will be Friday, Feb. 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A parlor service will be conducted at the end of the visiting hours at 7 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
