Obituary: Herbert L. Kochis Jr., 63, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Herbert L. Kochis Jr., 63, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2023, at his home with his family by his side after a long courageous fight with an illness. He was born in New Haven on March 14, 1960 and was the son of Anne Russell Kochis and the late Herbert L. Kochis Sr.

Herbert was a member of the Wallingford Elks Lodge #1365. He enjoyed boating, fishing, his mom’s delicious cooking, and listening to Willie Nelson music.

Beloved brother of Katherine Russell and her husband John Gumkowski. Loving uncle of Alex Gumkowski.

Herbert’s family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers Andrea Broadnax and Christopher Girdley for the endless care and compassion over the years.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
