Obituary: Lisa Carrano Sosienski, 66, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Lisa Carrano Sosienski, 66, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley A. Sosienski, Jr.

Lisa was born in New Haven on January 15th, 1957 and was the daughter of Vera D’Agostino Sosienski and the late Andrew J. Carrano.

A 1974 graduate of North Haven High School, Lisa worked for Stop & Shop for 38 years until her retirement. She was an avid New York Mets fan, enjoyed going to the beach, dancing, listening to music and going to concerts.

Mother of Staci Weaver (Michael). Grandmother of Alexandrea, Joshua and Zachary. Sister of Lori Cifarelli (John Perfetto) and Drew Anthony Carrano (Anna McCoy). Aunt of Jeffrey Cifarelli (Ciara) and James Cifarelli III (Liza). Great Aunt of Addison Cifarelli. Also survived by her half-brother Joseph Carrano. Predeceased by her stepfather Stanley A. Sosienski, Sr.

The visiting hours will be Saturday, Aug. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Catholic parlor service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
