The bonds that she created were uniquely special. Her kindness, compassion, and love extended to every aspect of their well-being, for those she cared for as well as for their families. This quote from Mother Theresa, perfectly sums up how she cared for others: “It is not how much you do, but how much love you put in the doing.”
Peggy found great pleasure in sharing her love of the New England Patriots and vacationing with her husband and family in Cape Cod and Vermont. She also enjoyed gardening, taking long drives to enjoy the fall foliage, listening to her favorite music, and laughing with those she loved. Peggy (and Jeffrey) truly enjoyed sharing special holidays such as Thanksgiving and the 4th of July, with family and friends and creating special memories that will last a lifetime.
Above all, however, she cherished her time with family, especially being “Mimi” to her grandchildren. She created a special bond with each of them that will never be broken.
Peggy was an extraordinary woman with a special energy about her. She had a zest for life and an immense love for her family and friends. She was full of wisdom and kindness; she was genuine, caring, compassionate, funny, feisty, and incredibly resilient.
Whether you knew her as Mom, Mommy, Peggy, Peggy Ann, Auntie Peggy, Peggers, Mimi, or as a second mom… she loved you deeply and always made you feel special, loved, seen, and heard. She will be missed by many.
Peggy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Michael Zuccaro of Wallingford, and Kristy and Allan Crouch III of Wallingford; five cherished grandchildren, Allison Zuccaro, Matthew Zuccaro, Kaitlyn Crouch, Ashley Crouch, and Allan Crouch IV; her siblings, Cornelia Mislick, Jack (Stacy) Halligan, and Alice Clodfelter; and several special nieces and nephews; as well as numerous extended family members and many beloved friends. Young; her siblings, Michael Halligan, Kathy Polnar, and Brian Halligan; her sister-in-law, Colleen Young; and her niece, Alyssa Young.
