Obituary: Ranay Petersen Cirillo, 68, Of North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Ranay Petersen Cirillo, 68, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Cirillo, Jr. for 45 years.

Ranay was born in West Haven on March 18, 1955, and was the daughter of the late Richard and Rose Clini Petersen.

Ranay worked as an Administrative Assistant at Yale School of Medicine and Infertility for 40 years.

Mother of Joseph (Nicole) Cirillo, III and Alyssa (Brandon) Leach. Beloved grandmother of Lincoln Leach. Sister of Richard and Darlene Petersen. Daughter-in-law of Ida Cirillo. Sister-in-law of Vincent and Sandra Cirillo. Aunt of Lindsey (Joseph) Martino and Vincent (Ashley) Cirillo, Jr. and great-aunt of Angelina and Joseph Martino.

The visiting hours will be Wednesday, June 7 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church Thursday morning, June 8 at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.
