Obituary: Richard Garcia, 58

Rich was a 911 dispatcher for the City of West Haven. He also worked for R & R Trucking and was a Volunteer Firefighter for WHFD.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — (From West Haven Funeral Home): Richard Garcia, 58, of North Haven, passed away peacefully, after a long courageous battle, on February 19, 2023, at CT Hospice. He was born in New Haven, son of late Joseph Garcia and Carlotta Francesconi Garcia.

Rich is survived by his soul mate and companion Kimberly Mase and her daughter Tehya Mase of Hamden, his brother Joseph Garcia Jr. and his wife Pat of Wallingford, his goddaughter Jessica Radcliffe, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rich was predeceased by his brother Christopher Garcia.

Rich was a 911 dispatcher for the City of West Haven. He also worked for R & R Trucking and was a Volunteer Firefighter for WHFD. He was an avid New England sports fan, always watching and rooting for the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, St. John XXIII Parish. Interment will be private.
